1 1/2 c. sliced onions
3 T. fat
1/2 lb. ground beef
2 T. oats
1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
2 t. minced onion
3/4 t. celery salt
1/4 c. milk
2 T. flour
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 t. Worcestershire sauce
First, saute onions until they are nice and tender in the fat; when the
onions are done, remove them, but don't throw the fat away.
Combine the next seven ingredients, mixing well. Drop meat
mixture by tablespoons into the hot fat; brown on all sides, and
remove to drain. Now, stir the flour into the fat, and brown as you
stir. Add water, stirring constantly until it is blended. Add
the rest
of the ingredients, and return the meat and onions to the gravy.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
